Google Maps API is used to identify points of interest based on your starting location and interests. Your location and selected preferences are sent to Google to generate tour results.
OpenAI API is used to generate walking tour narrative content. Your selected interests, search radius, and nearby location data are sent to OpenAI to produce tour descriptions.
Amplitude Analytics collects anonymized usage data to help us understand how the App is used and improve its features. No personally identifiable information is included in this data.
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). Payment information is handled entirely by Apple and Google and is not accessible to us. Purchase transactions are subject to their respective privacy policies.
We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers or marketing agencies.

Certain U.S. states, including Texas, Utah, and Louisiana, have introduced age verification requirements for app-based services. Because City Walkabout does not collect personal data, create user accounts, or include age-restricted or interactive social features, these laws do not materially apply to our service. City Walkabout uses OpenAI to generate walking tour content. We provide an in-app reporting tool for flagging inappropriate AI-generated content. If a violation is reported, we take prompt corrective action.
